AI sorting & your assistant

Sortoma reads every email so you don’t have to. Here’s how the sorting works, how to teach it, and how to make replies sound like you.

How sorting works

The moment an email arrives, Sortoma reads it and decides where it belongs — Urgent, Today or Later — and writes a one-line summary of what the sender wants. Newsletters and promotions are tucked into Marketing, and automated alerts into their own bucket, so the real work stays visible. Each decision comes with a confidence score, so you can see how sure the AI is.

Correct it — and it learns

Disagree with a call? Move the email to the right bucket (or use the thumbs up / thumbs down on the AI’s choice). Sortoma remembers your corrections: re-sort a sender a couple of times and it picks up the pattern.

You can see what it’s picked up under Settings → AI assistant → “What the assistant has learned” — the categories you re-sort most and the senders you regularly move.

Give the assistant your instructions

Under Settings → AI assistant there’s an instructions box. Tell it how you want your replies written and it follows that every time it drafts one for you. For example:

“Keep replies short and friendly. Always offer a quick call. Never quote prices — say I’ll confirm and follow up.”

Reply drafts

Open any email and Sortoma offers ready-to-send reply drafts that answer the sender’s actual questions — shaped by your instructions above. Edit anything you like before sending; the AI assists, you stay in control.

FAQ

Does correcting the AI actually change anything?

Yes. Your re-sorts are remembered and surface under Settings → AI assistant as patterns the assistant has learned from you.

Can I control the tone of replies?

Yes. Set standing instructions in Settings → AI assistant and every draft follows them.

Will the AI send emails on its own?

No. It only drafts. You review and send.
